Maka-Diyos · Maka-Tao · Maka-Bansa · Maka-Kalikasan
A non-stock, non-profit foundation dedicated to promoting and defending family values through education, catechesis, and community programs rooted in Catholic faith and Filipino culture.
A historic gathering of Filipinos from all continents — a profound affirmation of identity, faith, and mission. In the heart of Rome, delegates renewed their commitment to live as Pilgrims of Hope.

Who We Are
Defending Family Values Foundation, Inc. is a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to sustaining and nourishing the Filipino spirit — the values printed on every Filipino passport: Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Maka-Bansa, at Maka-Kalikasan.
Born from the fruits of the Sama Sa Roma Jubilee Year 2025 Conference in Rome, DFV Foundation carries forward the mission of rediscovering and living out the identity, history, and calling of the Global Filipino — through family, witnessing, and community wherever they may be.
Culture is the shared set of beliefs, values, and traditions passed down through generations. The Filipino identity — deeply rooted in faith, love of country, care for people, and stewardship of creation — is what DFV is committed to protecting and passing on.
Every program is grounded in the Catholic faith and the spiritual heritage of the Filipino people.
The family is the first school — DFV programs start there and radiate outward to community and nation.
Serving the Filipino diaspora across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East.
A continuation of the Sama Sa Roma Declaration — translating conviction into concrete action.
“The Filipino spirit — open, compassionate, and faith-driven — does not merely adapt to new lands; it renews them.”
Four Pillars
These four pillars define the Filipino identity and guide every program of the Foundation. Each pillar is a living commitment passed on through families, communities, and the nation.
Spiritual formation programs rooted in Catholic faith — Marian catechesis, prayer life, sacramental preparation, and faith education for individuals and families.
Human dignity and service programs — family counseling, marriage preparation, parenting workshops, and community outreach initiatives.
Civic responsibility programs — values education in schools, leadership formation, and initiatives promoting national heritage and Filipino family values.
Environmental stewardship programs — creation care education, sustainable community projects, and ecological awareness campaigns rooted in faith.
Our Programs
Each program is built on one of the four pillars of Filipino identity, serving individuals, families, and communities in their journey of faith and growth.
Events
From international conferences to local community workshops, every event brings Filipinos together in faith, culture, and service.
